WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA – November 2025 – Lifetech Resources proudly announced today the successful completion of its first-ever participation in the Habitat for Humanity Ventura County’s Playhouse Build Blitz. A team of twelve LR employees dedicated their time and creative energy to construct and decorate two magnificent playhouses for donation to deserving local military and veteran families. The event took place on November 1, 2025, in Westlake Village, CA.

The Playhouse Build Blitz not only provides joy to children but also raises essential revenue that directly supports the construction of affordable Habitat homes for struggling families throughout Ventura County.
“This event aligns perfectly with our corporate mission, vision, and values: to Respect, Innovate, build strong partnerships, and have integrity in everything we do,” said Shaffiq Rahim, CEO of Lifetech Resources. “Our military families have dedicated their lives to protecting freedom and upholding the values of this country. This gives us a chance to support them with a playhouse for their children to enjoy for many years to come, while also supporting critical affordable housing efforts in the community.
A Display of Teamwork and Heart
The Lifetech team, including, Janet Carieri, Shaffiq Rahim, Christopher Chang, Staci Williams, Michele Sillick, Krissia Lazo, Javad Bradaran, Aldo Fernandez, Cheryl Kelley, Laura Marron, Joshua Schwartz, and Jorge Guerrero Valdez demonstrated remarkable collaboration and skill, bringing two amazing playhouses to life in a short amount of time.
Janet Carieri shared the emotional high point of the day: “My heart leaped when I saw the faces of the children when they saw their new playhouse! They were so excited that they ran inside and immediately started playing.
Seeing how both our teams worked together to make something truly magnificent for the Military Families was priceless.” Carieri also noted the significance of the fundraising component: “This experience gave our employees the chance to see how even a small act of kindness and giving can be life-changing for them and the recipients.”
The collective effort didn’t stop at the build: when one Lifetech team finished their house, they pitched in to help complete the second house.

Commitment to a Long-Term Partnership
The positive energy generated at the build was infectious. CEO Shaffiq Rahim noted the lasting impact on the company culture: “I was so impressed by our team’s abilities and collaborative spirit… This event left us in great spirits that we brought back to the office, which impacted the rest of the organization and will definitely be an unforgettable event that will live on with us.”
Looking ahead, Lifetech Resources is excited about the future of this relationship. “I’m happy to say this was our first but certainly not our last time participating in a Habitat for Humanity initiative.” Rahim stated. “We are excited to see where our partnership takes us and are proud that we are supporting their mission to build a strong and stable Ventura County for all.”
Chairman Janet Carieri concluded with a message to other businesses: “Hopefully our participation will encourage other companies to get involved and truly make an impact in our community. Partnering with various charities can make a difference in your employees’ lives, by experiencing the pure joy of giving back.”
